These Terms of Service govern your use of EWR Car Service’s transportation services and website. By booking a ride or using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

EWR Car Service provides professional car transportation services, specializing in Newark Liberty International Airport transfers and point-to-point ground transportation throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hoboken, Jersey City, and select surrounding areas.

Our services include:

  • Airport pickup and drop-off
  • Point-to-point transfers
  • Corporate transportation
  • Hourly charter services
  • Group transportation

2. Booking and Reservations

Booking Process

Reservations can be made through our website, phone, or email. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation from our dispatch team.

Booking Confirmation

You’ll receive a confirmation email or text message once your booking is processed. This confirmation includes pickup details, vehicle information, and your reservation reference number.

Accuracy of Information

You’re responsible for providing accurate pickup location, destination, contact information, and flight details (if applicable). Errors in booking information may result in service delays or additional charges.

Same-Day Bookings

While we accept same-day reservations when possible, advance booking is recommended to ensure vehicle availability, particularly during peak travel periods.

3. Pricing and Payment

Rates

Our rates are based on distance, vehicle type, and service inclusions. All quoted prices include applicable taxes and a 15% gratuity unless otherwise specified.

Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and corporate accounts. Payment is processed at the time of booking or upon service completion, depending on the booking method.

Additional Charges

Additional fees may apply for:

  • Extra stops beyond the original booking (charged at prevailing point-to-point rates)
  • Wait time exceeding complimentary allowances
  • Tolls, parking fees, or other travel-related expenses incurred during service
  • Premium add-ons such as meet-and-greet service or child safety seats
  • Vehicle cleaning fees if damage or excessive mess occurs

Corporate Accounts

Corporate billing arrangements are available for qualified businesses. Contact us directly to discuss corporate account setup and billing terms.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation Terms:

  • More than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund
  • Less than 24 hours before pickup: Full fare charged (non-refundable)
  • No-show: Full fare charged

Modifications

Changes to existing bookings (pickup time, location, or vehicle type) are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to modify a reservation.

Weather and Flight Delays

For airport pickups, we track flights in real-time and adjust pickup times automatically at no extra charge. For severe weather conditions that make travel unsafe, we’ll work with you to reschedule without penalty.

5. Service Delivery

Complimentary Wait Time

We provide:

  • Airport pickups: 60 minutes of complimentary wait time from actual flight arrival
  • Point-to-point transfers: 15 minutes of complimentary wait time from scheduled pickup

Wait time exceeding these allowances may be charged at $1 per minute.

Flight Tracking

For airport pickups, we monitor your flight status and adjust pickup times automatically. You don’t need to notify us of flight delays unless your flight is canceled or significantly rerouted.

Driver Communication

You’ll receive driver contact information and vehicle details approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled pickup. The driver will contact you upon arrival.

No-Show Policy

If you’re not at the designated pickup location within the complimentary wait time and haven’t contacted us, the booking will be marked as a no-show, and full payment will be charged.

6. Passenger Responsibilities

Conduct

Passengers are expected to:

  • Treat drivers and vehicles with respect
  • Follow driver instructions regarding safety and vehicle operation
  • Refrain from illegal activities in the vehicle
  • Not smoke, vape, or consume alcohol in the vehicle
  • Not bring prohibited items or materials

Child Safety

Child safety seats are available upon request for $25 per seat. You’re responsible for ensuring children are properly secured in appropriate restraint systems as required by law.

Luggage

Vehicle capacity limits apply. Standard luggage allowances are specified for each vehicle class. Oversized or excessive luggage may require a larger vehicle at additional cost.

Special Assistance

If you require wheelchair-accessible vehicles or other special accommodations, notify us at the time of booking. Advance notice helps ensure we can meet your needs.

7. Service Standards and Limitations

Vehicle Condition

We maintain our fleet to high standards. All vehicles are commercially insured, regularly inspected, and cleaned between rides. However, vehicle make and model may vary from those listed as we use “or similar” equivalents.

Driver Qualifications

All drivers are TLC-licensed, commercially insured, and background-checked. Drivers are expected to provide professional, courteous service.

Service Area

Our primary service area covers Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hoboken, Jersey City, and select surrounding locations. Long-distance trips outside our standard service area are available upon request and subject to custom pricing.

Service Interruptions

While we strive for reliable service, we’re not liable for delays or cancellations caused by:

  • Traffic congestion, accidents, or road closures
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Vehicle mechanical failures (we’ll provide a replacement vehicle when possible)
  • Force majeure events beyond our control

8. Liability and Insurance

Insurance Coverage

All vehicles are commercially insured as required by New York and New Jersey law. Our insurance covers liability for bodily injury and property damage arising from our operations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EWR Car Service’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We’re not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Lost profits, missed flights, or travel disruptions not caused by our negligence
  • Lost or damaged personal property left in vehicles (though we’ll make reasonable efforts to return found items)
  • Delays caused by factors outside our control

Personal Belongings

You’re responsible for your personal belongings. Check the vehicle before exiting to ensure you haven’t left items behind. We’ll make reasonable efforts to return lost items but aren’t responsible for their loss or damage.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by EWR Car Service and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

11. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary while the remainder of the terms remain in full force and effect.
