For an 8 AM departure out of Midtown, that’s typically a 5:00 to 5:15 AM pickup with TSA PreCheck, a few minutes earlier without. Newark Liberty’s checkpoint A1 moves faster than B2 most mornings, in our experience, but B2 reopens its second lane around 5:30 AM and the gap closes by 6. Wedding parties and bridal pickups
Wedding parties flying into EWR are a regular booking for us. The usual setup is a Sprinter for the bridesmaids and gifts and a separate Suburban for the bride and her mother, straight from Terminal C to the rehearsal dinner. Groomsmen often land Saturday morning, so we track those flights too.
Prom, graduation, and sweet sixteens
Prom season for us is mid-April through mid-June, peaking the Saturday after Memorial Day. Bergen and Essex County high schools (Millburn, Livingston, Ridgewood, Tenafly) book Sprinter vans and First Class SUVs starting in late January for May. A typical prom booking covers 4 to 6 hours: pickup at one parent’s house, drop and re-pickup at the venue (The Venetian in Garfield is the year-after-year favorite), and an after-party stop. We charge a flat package, not by the hour, because nobody wants the kid texting “the meter is at $400, we have to leave” at 11 PM. Graduation season stretches from late May through mid-June; sweet sixteens cluster in June and September. The drivers have a no-alcohol rule that gets re-read in the dispatch huddle every Friday between mid-April and mid-June.

The single largest slice of weekday volume. Prudential Center in downtown Newark handles Devils games and concerts with a Mulberry Street curb drop. Uber Black requires you to walk to the rideshare staging area at each terminal (between P3 and P4 of the parking deck for B, third level of P2 for C, depending on the construction schedule). Distance from Terminal C baggage claim to the Uber pickup at Newark Liberty is about 850 feet plus an elevator. With three suitcases and a stroller after a 12-hour Cathay Pacific flight, that walk is the difference between a smooth arrival and an angry one.
